Help Wanted Helping Publishers

Tags:

Do you know a lot about how Intense Debate works? Like helping bloggers? Got some spare time? Want to make some money?

We’re looking to add one or two people in the very important role of Intense Debate support staff (part-time). It doesn’t matter where you live—you can work from home. You need:

  • An enthusiasm for blogs, comments, and Intense Debate
  • Great (and speedy) written English skills
  • At least 15 hours a week of focused availability
  • To be a highly proficient user of the web, a heavy blog reader, a blog author, a software aficionado, and a quick learner

The job consists, basically, of answering emails from people who write in who are having trouble with Intense Debate and helping them out as quickly as possible.

Pay will be hourly. Inquire for more details.

Send your resume and Intense Debate user name to jobs AT intensedebate.com

  1. I am primarily posting here because I was, um, searching for search! ;P

Anyways, what is the "state of affairs" WRT to this post — still open? closed? …?

And I'm looking forward to more search capabilites — I think IntenseDebate is definitely a cool plugin. (maybe it might be nice to add some buttons for non-HTMLers?)

    🙂 nmw

  2. Any reason why my comment box on my blog is 1/2 size? Please look at my blog. I have not touched anything.

  3. Hey! Is this still an issue? I looked at your blog, and it seems fine to me. Please contact me on isaac@intensedebate.com or post in our Getsatisfaction forums if you're still having problems. Thanks!

  6. Right now we don’t offer a nice way to translate Intense Debate into other languages.

This is something we’re definitely looking at for the future, however. We have had a couple users that have used a javascript implementation to essentially search and replace the field names, etc in Intense Debate. It’s a bit of a hack, but is a work around for those interested until we can formalize the process a bit more.

  9. As i'm not good at javascript (terrible actually) so there's no way i would know how to do that. But i'm good at translating things (done some for kde and gentoo in the past) so in case, there is a translation project going on in the future, i'd love to help.

  21. Okay. This is working, but unless I'm signed in I cannot see anyone else's comments. Is that a glitch, or is it a feature? 🙂

    Comment by Andresams — May 12, 2009 @ 5:57 pm
  26. Thanks for getting in contact.  We're currently working on plans for building in language support.  Unfortunately IntenseDebate is constantly influx as we work to improve our UI and constantly update the text in IntenseDebate.  With that in mind we cannot commit to language support at this time.  Unfortunately I do not have an ETA.  I apologize for the frustration.

    Thanks for your patience.
    Michael

  34. We hope you're excited about it! While there's no deadline, the sooner the better, that way people can start using it on their sites! Please email any questions instead of posting comments. Thanks.
