Our Summer at TechStars has come to a close. To simply say that it was everything we could have asked for and more would be an understatement. The people we have been exposed to, the relationships made, the polishing of our companies, and all the other great things that have happened while we are here in Boulder have exceeded our expectations.
TechStars went out with a bang. We had a great investor day followed by a great evening with friends at The Kitchen. The funny thing is that most of the teams are staying here in Boulder and using it as their base of operations. On that note, we have something to add.
We can also announce that our North American Headquarters will be made here in Boulder. It is just the right move for us. The majority of our mentors are here, there is a great startup environment in Colorado, and we feel like the community has embraced us since we came here. We are also making an expansion into Europe as Isaac will be heading up our European Outpost for the near term. He will come back to us some day.
The end is only the beginning for us. In the coming weeks, we will share more great news with you.

We had a great first week at TechStars. We kept thinking to ourselves that three months ago this was a pipe dream.
We are meeting all sorts of great people and getting feedback on our offering.
Some highlights include Jon talking to Darren Crystal (Co-Founder of Photobucket) for almost 15 minutes without knowing who he was(/humor). Another highlight was meeting with Todd Vernon, our lead mentor and CEO of Lijit.com.
The bottom line is Boulder is a great town and all the mentors are extremely open to meet and talk with us. The other companies are great too! Overall, it is an awesome ecosystem to be a part of.

After our selection to TechStars we have a new, brash confidence. The selection has given us instant credibility.
So, where do we go from here? There are several things up in the air. We are in the process of changing servers to the “free” servers provided by a TechStars sponsor. Plus, there are some business things to be tied up.
The good news is, we expect to launch an alpha for some friends and family once we get settled into Boulder. This will be followed by a beta period, which we promise will end at some point in the future.
Sure, we could rush a product to market, but we feel the user experience would not be optimal, bugs would be more prevalent, and plus we want to listen to some of our new mentors and marinate on what they advise us on.
The bottomline is we want quality to be above standard and give people plenty of reason to comeback.
In the meantime, catch up with what we are experiencing on a personal level at Jon’s new blog. Isaac and Josh will be creating blogs too. The reason why we will all blog on our own is to bring three different perspectives to the table.

Well it is official and we just got the clearance to share. After a long waiting period, Intense Debate will be moving to a secret underground bunker in Boulder, Colorado for the Summer to work with TechStars.

Our strategy will now morph to reflect our new weapons of opportunity: successful mentors, a little cash, and an environment conducive for creativity.
Frankly, the ID team is flat out motivated and ready to do something special very soon.
