Across The Intense Debate Network

Tags:

From time to time we will refer to the fun things happening around the Intense Debate network. After navigating around some of the sites using the Intense Debate comment system, I realized a lot is going on.

Dumb Little Man is a great blog and has been on a roll this week with a few articles making it to the frontpage of Digg. I asked Jay how he does it, but he won’t reveal his secret. My guess is that great content plays a role.

One of our newest ID’ers is called Drinks Are On Me. If you are interested in food and drink, I recommend it! After reading a few articles I felt incredibly hungry.

Brad Feld is blogging about email and who is talking about it. The follow up post should be very interesting.

Political Grind expanded their network. Congrats to the guys there. They were one of our early adopters and have seen a 110% increase in their comments since installing ID. We definitely don’t take full credit as the people behind PG produce great content.

Micah Baldwin shared an excellent personal story of success and failure over at Learn To Duck. If you are part of a startup or thinking about starting up a company you should definitely read this.

Fraser from Adaptive Blue put up a great post on his personal blog, Disruptive Thoughts, about his trip to the Boulder/Denver area. His conclusion: it is a great place for a tech startup. I couldn’t agree more.

There are many great things people are talking about around our network and they are using the Intense Debate comment system to continue the conversation. If something remarkable is happening at your blog, email me (josh at intensedebate dot com) and we might feature you in a future edition.

Blog Partners, TechCrunch Party, And More

Tags:

Another week full of progress at Intense Debate. We are slowly adding our comments to partnering blogs with many more to come in the near future. You can find the latest additions here.

Right now anyone can join Intense Debate as a user and start building your reputation by commenting on one of our early blog partners. If you write a blog and would like to see Intense Debate Comments on them, sign up!

Last Friday Josh attended the TechCrunch party in Menlo Park and had a blast. It was a great time and certainly more people know about Intense Debate in that part of the world than they did before. It was great to interact with some of the other startups demoing as well and asking questions about their experience. Some of them had really impressive products and we wish them the best.

Back in Boulder we are getting ready to graduate from TechStars and move on to the next phase in our journey. We will certainly look back on this Summer fondly!

Our Site Mentioned On TechCrunch

Tags:

I am happy to report our little project was mentioned on TechCrunch.

This is great news to all involved. We think our creation (although not yet public) certainly merits the mention.

For those who don’t know, I created this site for myself. I hated being limited to internet forums or crowded chat rooms to debate on where nothing gets accomplished and there is no outcome. Our site will be social, democratic, competitive, and in real-time.

Our site was mentioned in the same post as a profile for another debate site. After visiting this site, we feel our offering is in a great position. The features we will bring to the table, will make our site more usable, fun, and addicting. We will do (and have already done in our demo) many of the same things, but better.

I am looking forward to the day when I can announce our launch.

More news soon… Feel free to sign up for our RSS feed to keep up with our progress. To sign up for our beta testing, please visit IntenseDebate.com.

Also, I need to give major props to my programmer Jon, and designer Isaac. They are extremely talented people.
